Take Your Seats ! Literally!

We are replacing the 100+ year-old seats in the Memorial Hall Theater with new, comfortable classic seating.  There is no obvious way to recycle our old seats, but a number of people have asked if there is any way to obtain a few of the old seats for their porch, gazebo or other space.

The old seats in the Theater have been declared “surplus property” by the Town of Shelburne.  By making a donation to the Town, you can claim any even number of seats in the Theater, as follows:

• Minimum donation of $25 per seat, payable to the Town of Shelburne
• Only even numbers of seats can be taken
• Taking seats will be cash (or check or credit card!) and carry — payment       must be made before the seats are taken and you are responsible for  transporting the seat to its new home
• Because we need to have a carpenter available to disassemble and remove the seats, we will schedule times when you can pick up your seats.  We will let you know when the pick up times will take place.
